Vendor Surveillance Program (VSP)

DNV's Vendor Surveillance Program (VSP) provides transparent and cost-effective certification/verification services with real-time project reporting and value-adding data analytics capabilities

Today’s offshore vessels push the boundaries of innovation and technology to deliver efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime. Before they go into operation, you want the confidence the vessel is built to the requirements and compliance necessary. DNV’s Vendor Surveillance Program provides the cost-efficient and transparent verification services to ensure even the critical components from your vendors meet expectations.

With the Vendor Surveillance Program, DNV partners with your critical vendors to ensure their equipment deliveries meet the requirements and expectations necessary. By leveraging DNV’s global network of surveyors, we oversee the manufacturing processes at the vendor locations and offer real-time project reporting.

The Vendor Surveillance Program utilizes the cloud-based Vendor Surveillance Inspection Tool (VSIT), providing you with the real-time transparency you expect. Through VSIT, you have unlimited access to detailed status reports, relevant project documentation, digital tools for analytics and any concerns raised with the project stakeholders. By tracking the quality and reliability of your vendors’ products, you reduce your QA/QC efforts and resources and gain confidence that your project is in compliance with the required standards.

For 160 years, DNV has built trust and confidence between parties and made sure that things work in a safe and reliable way. As the offshore industry began to grow, we used our experience and knowledge to develop standards and services to ensure safe and efficient operations. Today, we continue to support your endeavors; with the Vendor Surveillance Program, you have the standardization necessary to achieve efficient, cost-saving predictability during the construction of your offshore vessel.
